Nine anti-ICE protesters were sentenced to 30 to 100 years in prison on Tuesday on terrorism charges.

The maximum sentences prosecutors sought in the case stand in stark contrast to the treatment of January 6 rioters, says Sufia Khalid, who represented one of the defendants, Maricela Rueda.

I’m not gonna argue with liberal lawyers about whether or not any of the Prairieland Defendants “actually” committed any crimes during their noise demo last year because when a judge says some shit like this you know it’s not because of anything anyone actually did. We don’t have to play this game
Judge O’Connor stated from the bench that he is giving maximum sentences to the Prairieland sentences because “the state wants to send a message to anyone who shares a similar ideology.”

Please keep watching for the Prairieland defendants' state trials. 20 people have state charges related to this case.

While today's federal sentences are horrific, they are not the end. Texas also seeks to make examples of the Prairieland defendants, but we cannot let them.

This fight is not over.
The Prairieland defendants' state trials are all set in Johnson County, the same county where the sheriff Adam King was just indicted after being arrested for a third time on March 26 in connection to an ongoing sexual harassment case.

The indictment is the second attempt to charge Sheriff Adam King with perjury. The first charge was thrown out by a judge in December.
