Rep Brian Jack lacks the resolve to keep us safe by holding agencies accountable. He pushed a closed-rule bill funding DHS without any changes—no requirements for always-on body cameras, no anti-profiling measures, no training reforms.

Important point for helping with the food crisis:
Reminder to everyone donating to food banks in light of the Republicans starving SNAP: It is far more cost effective to donate directly to food banks than to buy food and give it to them. They can buy in bulk and have existing relationships with sellers, so your few bucks go way further that way

Every year on Memorial Day, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.
They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.
France also gave us this land as American soil.
