but this isn’t the end, at least not yet. there’s a lot more that this could be, and i want to do what i can to contribute to it. there are a lot of exciting things going on that i hope we can present to you all soon, but forgive me if it takes more time ^^

-a very specific framework of arabic that differs from the modern lived experience or in the context AUR exists for. i’m forever honored that my work is of some significance to arabic speakers in the community, but-

there is such a profound level to these cultures and social climates that i may never understand as a non-arab arabic learner in the west. my faith is core to my identity, but it taught me-

another thing is a little harder to justify in my head: the more i’ve worked on this and my (still somewhat tentative) degree in middle eastern/islamic studies, the less qualified i feel to lead this project.

but the strife in creating my own solutions and learning from people who are more knowledgeable than me and paying honors to painstaking craftsmanship and passion is the crux of what makes this hobby so fulfilling to me!

it can feel hard to progress when technology is also progressing. there’s an expectation that things should be finished already because “XYZ can do it for you in minutes”. sometimes i’ve even wondered if i’m too stubborn about doing things “the hard way”.

part of the reason i concluded phase 1 when i did was because i was anticipating life to hit me like a (fire)truck. and hit me it did.. fortunately not literally, but a lot of new things to adjust to leaves little time for outreach and managing projects the way that i’d like to.

it’s about AUR but if i post it on the official blog it’s gonna look like i’m resigning or something
