Completely agree. Characters like Boba Fett and Wolverine were better without having every iota of their backgrounds being revealed. Even the Jaster Mereel origin of Fett was better than what we got in the movies.

...about comics, or character builds, or movies that inspired us. I remember chatting about music that helped inspire my music tastes, or chatting about Superman, who I really didn't care for then, and now ready fairly regularly. It was truly an amazing time.

...original villains and ones from a book or comic universe. The module F.O.R.C.E. for V&V played heavily in that campaign, while Project Prometheus started a major rivalry in the DC Heroes campaign.

And the best part was, because we were friends and gamers, we spent some sessions just BSing...
