I hear that Stewart has found a good place to roost. Later, Walton was found on the ground & taken to the City Hall rooftop. He then fluttered down and ended up getting two meals for his trouble. He has done some traveling since then, but we’ll leave that story for another day.

Rough day for Channel Island nests.

At the #WestEnd, the ravens got the 17-hour old egg after just 5 minutes left alone.

Earlier, the remaining egg at #Cholyn&Chase's #TwoHarbors nest was accidentally punctured.

While accidental injury is always a possibility in the wild, there is no indication that the adult eagles intentionally harmed the chick. Bald eagle parents are highly attentive, and their feather structure creates air pockets during brooding that typically prevent suffocation.
