I remember watching Saturday Gang, I used to watch all those shows like 5 Alive and The Laughter Show. Those early evening sketch shows are a genre that completely disappeared in the nineties

It was probably me being a snob but also it felt a bit like they weren't "proper" comedians because they were on ITV, unlike the proper ones on the Beeb and Channel 4
