I've been playing the 3DS version lately simply because I never have - I grew up with the N64 gold cart - and man a refresh with QoL and additional lore and details really sounds amazing.
I got into a really big argument with a dude on Reddit about A Song of Ice and Fire and how I thought Zelda had better lore. Zelda is more than just incestuous royals and everyone dying by dragonfyre etc etc. Well, here's exhibit A:

I've been working on this for over a year: I'm remaking all of Ocarina of Time's prerenders in 3D, trying to match the N64 style rather than the 3DS one. The provisional name is OoT unJPEG.
It will be distributed as both a romhack that runs on real N64 hardware and a mod for Zelda 64 Recompiled.

If you ever want to see where everyone with absolutely horrible taste hang out, look no further.
I've only played a few hours of the much-hyped Crimson Desert, so weight my opinion accordingly, but those few hours were so boring and soulless that I absolutely did not want to play anymore. Feels like a game designed for people who just want to Consume Content.

I've been checking out Outcast, which is on sale rn, after remembering that @dark1x.bsky.social made a video about it last year. It's pretty rad. I've never played the original, nor do I even remember it, despite having a decent rig back in 99 myself. You can get all of those games rn for about $30
