Had an inmate who is visiting family here in the US but originally from Oz call into central control and ask us, “I need more shit tickets, please, if you don’t mind” and I’m still laughing.
He managed to bond out on minor “drunk and disorderly” charges but goddamn my shift and I adored him.

Apparently it’s weird to be a person (a female even, in my case!) who shaves their head and DOESN’T pamper themselves with steam, hot towels, etc, when shaving our heads. At least where I’m from.

My BESTO FRIENDOS!! I finally bought a pair of non-work pants after having them literally assigned to me (lol corrections and those dusty 5.11’s), and oh man. Being exclusively dresses or skirts outside of work has been an EXPERIENCE.
Not a bad one. Just something that feels kinda new and weird.

Ughhhh. Feeling a bit beaten down today. Living with and caring for a parent in early stages of #dementia isn’t for the weak. I’m off of my meds bc I need to get an appointment and hope our local county grant and local offices will cover my continued mental health issues as they did before.

I was finally scheduled an opening shift!! We got our truck in today and my goal for myself was to get all of the dry goods stocked/put into back stock if needed, and by gum we did it, aside from one box of garbage bags. 😆 All of truck was done and the back room cleaned up for closing shift.

Ngl I miss having health insurance because the GLP-1 I was on helped with my #chronicmigraines SO MUCH!! Alas. I just gotta keep up with this job and complete my medical records degree, and hope for the best in the meantime.
I’m glad I made the decision to stockpile my meds ahead of time tho. 😂😂
