We can’t just move past what SCOTUS has permitted this Administration to do to people who have lived and worked in the U.S. for years and even decades.

Trump said that he couldn't be expected to address issues like healthcare because he had to devote himself to defending the country. Now he's inviting the enemy to 'take out' American cities he doesn't like.

I emailed top USA Today editors on Friday, in the hopes that there was some misunderstanding. No response. Unilaterally feeding entire interviews into an AI slop machine is not OK. It has to stop.
If USA Today is indeed unilaterally putting source interviews in some sort of database, in their entirety, allowing them to be cherry-picked by other reporters—and *AI*(!!)—that is journalistically indefensible and no one should ever talk to them again. Is this true? Is it Gannett wide?
Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of.

What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.

After listening to oral arguments in Suncor v. Boulder just now, I hope someone will give Justice Kavanaugh my @yalelawjournal.bsky.social Essay on the case. It provides a detailed history of Ouellette & the other precedents invoked in Suncor. These cases do not say what Justice Kavanaugh asserted.

An American "president" saying it's acceptable for Iran to annihilate Los Angeles and San Diego

But the worst part isn't that Trump has normalized such traitorous, cowardly behavior

No-the worst part is the people in the crowd CHEERING

And not a single Republican will stand up and say ENOUGH
Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."

How did we reach the point where the President is talking about being fine with our enemies theoretically destroying two major cities and it’s barely a blip on the radar because everything is insane all of the time?

The government *still* isn’t tracking how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens.

We are.

500+ Americans have been handcuffed, held at gunpoint or held against their will in Trump’s second term.

Our tally is almost certainly an undercount.

I do not mean to single out LeBron James, but it feels completely bizarre to me that an active player is allowed to promote "prediction markets" but would get banned for life for using that service to bet ten dollars on their own team to win a game.
From @theathletic.com: LeBron James will make nearly four times as much promoting the Polymarket prediction market as he will from playing basketball. The deal may not break NBA rules, but it raises uncomfortable questions.

Trump once sent the National Guard and Marines into Los Angeles.

Now he’s saying, “Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.”

Whatever explanation comes next, those are American cities.

That should never sound normal coming from a president.

one funny thing about Alito is he is constantly fuming over his critics. just a big blubbering baby.
Justice Alito devotes an entire chapter of his new book to the emergency docket—and to responding to people like me (“the most prolific academic critic of the emergency docket”).

As I explain over at “One First,” it … didn’t go well:
