And... it turns out that there's no quick fix to the un-replicable and un-reproducible mess that is our scientific literature. So that's a drag.

I thought I was pretty savvy wrt open science when I signed up to do a replication study, but this process taught me a *lot* about how to do careful, well-documented, transparent and well-thought-out research at large scale.

It's like how people sometimes just say "mornin" instead of good morning -- can't commit to the good part, only to the morning part.
