I hope @benmckenzie.bsky.social makes a sequel to his great doc- and that it focuses on the truly bizarre/insane story of Microstrategy and Michael Saylor.

Ok, it'd be the fuckin' funniest thing in the world if he didn't understand the blue areas in maps are water.
He's been saying this thing about how easy it is to walk over the Qatar-Iran border for many months now. Clearly no one around him is brave enough to correct him. That's pretty terrifying.

Great thread on Marcia Lucas, the editor whose work was a key part of Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, Taxi Driver, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, & other classics of the New Hollywood era & thereafter.
RIP Marcia Lucas, whose skill as a film editor and storyteller made a clunky independent film called STAR WARS greater than the sum of its parts. Rightly referred to as "Lucas's secret weapon," Marcia had an uncanny talent to see a film from the perspective of an audience--and won an Oscar for it.

If you live Manhattan, check to see if @gtconway.bsky.social is one of your candidates this cominf November AND THEN PLEASE VOTE FOR HIM. He needs to be in Congress so he can blow this sort of sh*t up. He'll have one mission: impeach, remove, investigate and expose the bastard.
CNN: The DOJ has launched a new criminal investigation into one of Trump's enemies, E. Jean Carroll. The source is telling CNN that the investigation now is focused on whether she committed perjury during her two civil lawsuits against the president.
