One thing that's been bugging me today: people who claim Dolly Parton wasn't political.
False. She was very political. Her art and life's work were about interrogating power + amplifying the powerless.

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

We can hardly wait.
Our Congress passed a bill demanding that this happen, but they seem too corrupt/intimidated to follow up on it. We're hoping to replace most of them soon, but whatever you can do will be helpful & much appreciated.
