Trump’s approval is at 32% (according to reported UMass poll). Really dreadful rating, but seriously who are the 32% who approve?? Approving of what? Iran, Canada, inflation, affordability, suicidal sailors, low munitions, insulting allies, lies, childishness, narcissism..?

I occasionally tune into CNN and am soon reminded why I stopped listening. So many issues in the world, but CNN is reporting on Erling Haarland’s hair cut and Gianno Infantino’s fan club. Unbelievable.

Hegseth- a ‘Christian’ gleefully reading out a list of people who have been killed. I get it: they were considered part of a terrorist regime. I just can’t relate the glee to what I understand, from Christian friends, about how Jesus spoke. If Hegseth’s religion is Christianity, I’m not interested.

‘We don’t have to be there. We don’t need their oil. We don’t need anything they have. We’re there to help our allies.’

He could have helped allies more by consulting them, not being disrespectful, and not starting a war that’s driven up prices and made the entire world more fragile. It’s madness.

Still coming to terms with the fact that he’s not into peace as much as FIFA led me to believe he was!

Those poor schoolgirls are evidence to the contrary.

Rubio… seriously… so embarrassing that the US tells European countries to reform their social policies and their cultures are ‘failing’. It’s like a belligerent teenager telling their benevolent forebears they need to be less accepting and open-minded in order to belong in the current hateful gang.

You’re a US citizen, with rights, up to the point where you get shot and murdered. After that, you’re a domestic terrorist who forfeited their rights. It’s dystopian.

Federal agents are pulling over off duty cops based on the color of their skin.

This is not a serious operation to enforce immigration law. It’s a performative show of force and it’s gotten way out of hand.

Scott Bessent: ‘the EU projects weakness’. Utter pathetic, patronising garbage. Sycophantic repetition of gross policy and verbal stupidity (that he surely does not believe in) is just disgusting. It all seems to be getting (unbelievably) worse. Where is their backbone? They can say enough already.

Trump is gross, but Vance is surely worse. Trump operates on greed & what is best for him, but is ultimately dumb. Vance is smarter and more calculating, and knows he ditched his morality. A political chameleon; to feel less irrelevant. He’d probably say Jesus was a radical communist vagrant.

It’s weird that news organizations like the BBC are covering this as if it’s a real thing with a real process behind it—and not clearly some nakedly invented “participation trophy” by a corrupt organization to curry favor with a corrupt and easily manipulated man-child. www.bbc.com/sport/footba...

So, to be clear, you can call a group of people garbage, summarily execute people on boats without due process, pardon a convicted drug trafficker, appoint a Health Secretary who is on a mission to make the US less healthy through ignorance of established data, and then ‘win’ a peace award?
