Buy a book and write in the margins. Loan it to your neighbor. Make the girl you love a mix tape. Record a song, even if it’s bad. Especially if it’s bad. Sing it in the street. You are a machine more beautiful and glorious than any they’ll ever build.

This is really important.

“What the far right feels about cities isn’t physical fear. It’s discomfort. Canadian urban planner @brenttoderian.bsky.social decodes this feeling as: “I’m not the majority any more, it isn’t my city anymore.”

Deadline on this is extended until Wednesday -- and if you want to write about your experience in a short piece (50-200 words) for this call, but need help, I have a group of volunteer writing coaches and professional editors ready to help Minneapolis folks out with this.
Racket wants to hear from you, Minnesota. We want to hear how the ICE occupation has changed your life, and we want the world outside of Minnesota to know as well.

Today I heard an interview with someone in Minneapolis- they're bringing food to people who don't want to go out. (I'm guessing feeding people who are afraid of being kidnapped by ICE/DHS/ whatever they call themselves). Trump's admin prob wants to charge these folks with aiding/abetting criminals?!

Yes. Truth 🔽
Prison rape is wrong.

Jokes about prison rape are wrong.

Eliminating protections against prison rape is wrong.

If another country sentenced a criminal to be raped, we'd consider it a crime against humanity.

BUT

A large segment of Americans regard prison rape as a de facto part of the sentence.
BREAKING: Trump administration plans to end prison rape protections for trans & intersex people, memo says. A DOJ memo says certain standards under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) do not align with Trump’s Jan. 20 anti-trans executive order, @byadamrhodes.bsky.social reports.
