More fiddling with animation, adding some living, breathing, magical hirana carvings to this old piece.

Tried to do an exterior section of the Hirana with watercolors. I used a lot of Dravidian architecture for reference.
One of the figures is holding one of those flowering coconuts from Priya’s story! 🥥 🌸

Priya: “I want you to be safe”
Malini: “I know, my love”

Finished drawing this scene from The Lotus Empire (Book 3 of The Burning Kingdoms by Tasha Suri)

I love how these two always looked after each other! 🥺

More Jasmine Throne things. It’s the scene where Malini was almost dying from needleflower and Priya stays by her side as she recovers. ❤️

WIP of Priya and her tired girlfriend. I thought I’d try a more painting-based process this time. Def changes the look and forces me to think in value and color shapes early on. 🤔

Our entire economy is being artificially propped up by astrology for men: AI, crypto, sports betting, and prediction markets. It's an economy shaped entirely by male insecurity and lack of impulse control, and we'll all pay the price.

Just wanted to see what Malini could look like in armor. I need to try out a few more options. I love how multi-faceted this character is!

I wish there was a better way to format comics on here. I’ll just place the whole image-
I wanted to visualize the progression of Malini’s gaze towards Priya across 3 books as they became closer. All text is from The Burning Kingdoms by Tasha Suri.

A set of 3 scenes in comics-style panels of various scenes from The Burning Kingdoms trilogy by Tasha Suri. 1- The Jasmine Throne- Priya is first introduced by Pramila as a maidservant to the sick and exiled Princess Malini ; 2- The Oleander Sword- The sage Lata informs Malini that they have found Priya after an attack. Malini regards her with both worry and fondness. 3- The Lotus Empire - Malini and Priya make love. Malini lovingly looks at Priya’s sleeping face whilst holding her in her arms.

Argh This is taking so long because I keep encountering BG stuff that I hadn’t done a design pass on. This time it’s the Dwarali queensguard as part of Malini’s council hanging around the tent.

Some wips of scene comparisons between book 1 through 3. I wanted to show Malini’s pov of Priya as they get closer. And oops, spent too much time on the last panel because I have poor impulse control 🫠
