okay i am only halfway through volume 9 because thats where we left off the rwbwatch but uhh.
coming off the back of volume 8, which was Kinda Good i am getting worried this is not going to be good. could be a product of the short season and knowing the show died after this.

Heads-up on PPSSPP. Info in the thread on the last versions that don't contain it. The dev has gone off the deep end into Claude is my best friend territory.
Dude, this is genuinely so fucking disappointing. Nearly all of the commits I’ve seen for PPSSPP involve generative AI from Claude in the past week alone, and their entire newest dev blog is almost entirely written by Claude. Almost half of the commits in the past 3 months use Claude for AI code.

a little light reading of ffxi's history as compiled by the players (because im taking advantage of the newly extended free trial) and wow. they said it couldn't be done: im actually MORE appreciative of yoshi-p's handling of xiv.

Even if you don't give a shit about the ethics, hazing novice users until they cry is no longer a *materially* effective means of gating access to information technology when they can just go ask the robot. Sure, they're not learning that way, but they weren't learning anything from you, either, so.

i can't say whether a console game port would be any less Annoying to deal with but ripping out the gacha part immediately makes a lot of things more tolerable i suppose.
