Imagining a CVA in POSPOTUS that Mitch McConnells him. Boy howdy Mr Ma'am Mummy Algorithm I hope you have a Grand Ole' Tyme with this one. (Insert demonic laughter fading awwwwaaaaaayyyyyyy...)

The bottom line is that no one is coming to save us. We have to find ways to survive what's coming, and not in a I've got mine y'all fuck off kinda way, but in a how do we create resilient communities way.
Recommend looking outside your in group for solutions.

In the past 20 years, what piece of legislation was passed by Republicans that benefitted most working people? Anyone? Okay, go back to 1980; what laws have been passed by Republicans that benefit working people?

I'm not engaging much because I'm trying to lengthen my attention span. This app does not help me further that goal.

The latest polls show a majority of Americans really don't like assholes. And if you don't trust polls, look at how many people are being harmed by the take our money and give it to rich folk policies that seem to be the sole priority of our fed gov't.
Tick tock tipping point, where is it???

These DAF Wall St traders made money off of money with nothing to back it up. Again. Cryptonite, for example? Erm, I mean bitcoin. They trade on air ware.
I'm no expert, but can the economy overall get tweaked by this trading in nothing? Can we opt out of it for our 401Ks?

Oh dear, these are more potent than I thought.....
This is going to be interesting. And I sincerely hope not 'interesting' in the Chinese sense.

I'm trying to think of one major world problem that hasn't been caused by people who are rich, isolated from everyday folks, and lacking in compassion. When the too wealthy buy gov't we get policies that squeeze us dry. Revolt is building, though, and there's our hope.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being satisfied with having enough. Enough food, shelter, opportunities, everything. The majority of the world's people are happy to come home to healthy, educated families and share a good meal. That should be the exalted standard - joy in a good life.

We need a circular economy where basic needs are met for all, and opportunities to do more exist for the driven. Ditch the ever expanding growth model we currently use. Resources ARE limited. We must share, repurpose, renew - we need a circle of sustainability. We did it before, we can do it again.
May 31, 2026 at 12:51 AM
I hope we can reconfigure our world to a circular economy. The myth of unlimited growth is counteracted by the reality of a planet with finite resources. Economics is an entirely created 'science.' If the basic premise of prosperity is sustaining life, everything looks way different.

Authoritarians underestimate the desire for freedom. Once people experience freedom, they don't want to give it up. These authoritarian takeovers are going to have their supposedly firm object come up against the unstoppable force of humanity. Too late for the Dark Ages, my techno fascist friends.

Humanity needs to be weaned.

Thank you for using so much fossil fuel that we can have paralyzing wars over the need for it. Didja know the climate change driven by this insanity is impacting the countries that didn't contribute to these planet destroying practices? I pray the rapacious will find restraint, one way or another.

End game for the billionaires: they rule over a scorched planet with pockets of people that hate them but are managing to exist where they managed to land. AI gives them pablum until their brains dissolve. Humans rise again from the margins. SciFi speculative fiction people? Animal rebellion, too?

Great quote: You can't make it to the top unless you're a sociopath, because the ladder is made of humans.
Episode 8 of the Deadly Class, Season 1.
This literally explains everything and is the bumper sticker version of an argument I've made for decades.

Democrats need a two point platform.
First, support working people, including tax reform where billionaires paying their fair share.
End corruption. It's blatant, it's disgusting, and people are sick of it. Major reforms happen here.
Do this and we'll win. Then we can change other things.

"The arch of history bends towards justice." So, can we quit fucking around and get to equality already? I am so tired of humans hurting other humans. We're one race, with one planet, and if we don't get our shit together soon, we will be small tribes existing on the margins or our disaster.

Is hibernation an option? Because I would cheerfully gain fifty pounds and to be able to sleep until fascism in the US is defeated. Literally exhausted by all of it, yet feel as a 'grownup' I should pay at least /some/ attention, even if the little I do to resist seems so useless.

We seem to have self annihilation built in to our species. I have no other explanation for our self destructive avarice. These days I'm wondering what the frontal lobes are actually for, from an evolutionary standpoint. Because we are so very unreasonable in so many ways.
Mom Almighty help us.

The Democratic agenda should focus on two things: Corruption and pro labor policy.
You want to form a coalition? Make life easier for the average person, aka the workers who produce wealth. Get the damn money out of politics and end the grift, theft, and bribery.
We can deal with the rest later.
April 19, 2026 at 11:58 PM
White people are crazy. We go stomping into other countries without a foggy clue, consuming resources that are not renewable as though there is an endless supply. If the US crown gets knocked off, it will probably be good for the rest of the world. Get our boot off their necks, see what happens.

At this point I have to ask what it would take for the powers that be to realize this dunce is beyond useful?
Seriously, does he have to piss in public? Oh, diapers. Vomit pills maybe? Spontaneously explode?
Seriously. The entire world is wondering when the hell are we gonna Fix This Shit.
