The latest polls show a majority of Americans really don't like assholes. And if you don't trust polls, look at how many people are being harmed by the take our money and give it to rich folk policies that seem to be the sole priority of our fed gov't.

I'm trying to think of one major world problem that hasn't been caused by people who are rich, isolated from everyday folks, and lacking in compassion. When the too wealthy buy gov't we get policies that squeeze us dry. Revolt is building, though, and there's our hope.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being satisfied with having enough. Enough food, shelter, opportunities, everything. The majority of the world's people are happy to come home to healthy, educated families and share a good meal. That should be the exalted standard - joy in a good life.

We need a circular economy where basic needs are met for all, and opportunities to do more exist for the driven. Ditch the ever expanding growth model we currently use. Resources ARE limited. We must share, repurpose, renew - we need a circle of sustainability. We did it before, we can do it again.

I hope we can reconfigure our world to a circular economy. The myth of unlimited growth is counteracted by the reality of a planet with finite resources. Economics is an entirely created 'science.' If the basic premise of prosperity is sustaining life, everything looks way different.

Authoritarians underestimate the desire for freedom. Once people experience freedom, they don't want to give it up. These authoritarian takeovers are going to have their supposedly firm object come up against the unstoppable force of humanity. Too late for the Dark Ages, my techno fascist friends.

Is hibernation an option? Because I would cheerfully gain fifty pounds and to be able to sleep until fascism in the US is defeated. Literally exhausted by all of it, yet feel as a 'grownup' I should pay at least /some/ attention, even if the little I do to resist seems so useless.

We seem to have self annihilation built in to our species. I have no other explanation for our self destructive avarice. These days I'm wondering what the frontal lobes are actually for, from an evolutionary standpoint. Because we are so very unreasonable in so many ways.

White people are crazy. We go stomping into other countries without a foggy clue, consuming resources that are not renewable as though there is an endless supply. If the US crown gets knocked off, it will probably be good for the rest of the world. Get our boot off their necks, see what happens.
