Not the main point but I've been playing the seance of blake manor thanks to your recommendation and GOD IT RULES. And the art style is so incredibly effective especially when it comes to the ghosts

Oh yeah I know, and I've had the conversation with others as well since then whenever HP comes up. I'm just relieved that in my immediate circle it's already taken care of

I think Sekiro is one of the greatest examples of a game that uses its difficulty for narrative and dramatic purposes, and I still think it would benefit from options that give everyone the opportunity to experience that, regardless of how good they are at what the game asks of them 4/4

I don't know what exactly was different for me this time, but I know there are lots of people who enjoyed the game but couldn't make progress, and I know how frustrating that is because for years I was that people. So yeah, I think games should have difficulty options like this built in. 3/

I didn't end up using the slow- down-feature until i got to the last boss on my third NG+ run, because once the game clicked for me, I adored the intensity of it. But I also remembered how much I struggled with the game on my first two attempts with it. 2/

A while ago I finally played through all of Sekiro after bouncing off the first two times. I installed that framerate unlock mode that also allows you to slow down the game if you want, just so I'd have the option if I got stuck again 1/

Reading this right as "Butterfly" is coming up on my "hot girl shit" playlist... I should probably really check out Marinas earlier music some time soon

Sometimes I've found that I don't need to know exactly what the author meant, as long as *the author* knows what they meant and the vibes are strong enough. Like, i read "killing commendatore" by murakami last year and i didn't mind when things didn't make sense to me, they still seemed to work

I never watched the show but i knew it ended before the last two or three books, and once i got to that point i went "okay now i get why they ended the show early"

Not trying to "well actually" this, i just want to point something out because it's delightful and plays into the entire point: myrmidon of loss wasnt invented by that person of reddit, they were referencing this old Dark Souls shitpost

Having played the first b remaster of gears 1 as well as 4 and 5, i really wish they had given the entire trilogy the remaster treatment instead of just remastering 1 *again*. It's honestly wild to me that they never put those games on PC

Star Wars Outlaws had a really fun mechanic where, if you get spotted, Kay tries to buy some time by going "look, behind you!" It doesn't get her off the hook but it can buy you enough time to shoot the guy, and it worked really well for her character as well

I noticed a similar thing with straight men talking to me about things they usually don't talk about with their straight guy friends, or opening up emotionally

'Silence' is probably the "weakest" movie he's made in the last 15 years and i still adored that one. 'Killers' might be his best, 'The Irishman' his most definitive/quintessential and 'wolf of wall street' my personal favourite
