Dirge is a pretty even mix of his parents in appearance, but personably leans towards his father, sometimes purposefully.
Like his love of jewellery he gets from his mother, but his choice of glasses is a conscious mimicry of his father.

#tavqotd Dirge is a discrete flirt, his attraction (be it platonic, physical, etc) is mostly mirrored in what he permits & reciprocates. Since he won't do what isn't done to him he's not particularly proactive, but if there's a bar he'll tell the staff he'll pay for their next drink.

#tavqotd Dirge has The Haunted One background as a custom DU, however I don't agree much with BG3's take on it, so I HC 5e's mechanics by making him proficient in Religion & Survival (and know Abyssal & Undercommon in tabletop settings).

#tavqotd Despite the cost in ressurecting Bhaal, his prayers given flesh. He'd have never developed the hubris required to sabotage his position as chosen if he remained in body he had, not to mention he'd have killed Orin out of envy.

#tavqotd I don't think Dirge's circumstances can be placed in a hierarchy since his tragedies have a way of feeding into themselves, so even how he overcame them seems tragic in its own right. He ran, returned, endured, in a protective silence until death became a gesture of love, and embraced it.
