I Grew Up With Gen 1 it's just that going back to how things were before all the quality-of-life/balance/bug fixes feels like (concrete scraping noise) like i immediately went into Erika's gym and had to fight a bunch of Bellsprouts with Wrap and Bind... absolutely disgusting

i didn't have to google a specific Secret list of berries to progress, so people spreading misinfo that you'd be required to do that....... is completely inconsequential but just a little bit annoying to me

my Switch is old as balls so i figure the game might benefit from a bit of a performance boost. generally it seems like using homebrew is pretty safe as long as you follow certain boundaries but sometimes there's the odd comment like "I overclocked once and nintendo banned my console IMMEDIATELY"

oh also I've finally fixed my childhood gameshark by reflashing the rom :-) the official gameshark software has its own firmware update option, but i think it got corrupted and rendered my gameshark useless. 😔
