Ending North Sea production is purely symbolic when we use around 80 million tonnes per year. Focus our effort on reducing usage and production (from all sources) will decline as the market dries up.

I remember a chemistry lecture from my degree in 1990-91 about the Montreal Protocol and CFC replacements. The lecturer went through likely breakdown products and that we don't know much about the impact of TFA. This was always coming.
