Somehow we got this event together in time and it was even a success! Honoured to have been part of it and to have gotten to host some amazing names across the flash speedrun community.

Now if you excuse me, I need to go sleep ;P

The first ever Flash Forward Speedrun Marathon has ended with our fundraising goal exceeded with $1,059 USD raised for @archive.org.

Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, donated, and watched online. You're the ones who helped make our first year a great success!
The Flash Forward logo is on a green and yellow background that reads "Thank You To Everyone Who Took Part, Watched & Donated!" below is a text that reads "Loading Donations..." over a loading bar that appears to have gone beyond the edges, with text on it that says "106%". Below this is text in a stylistic font that reads "$1057 / $1000 Raised for Internet Archive!"

Excited to be helping to run a speedrun event, and event more excited about the theme! Flash games were the first games I ever speedran and now it's coming full circle.

Text reminiscent of mid-2000s web design, with headings and two boxed columns. There is subtle gradient backgrounds used along with outlines for segments across the design. The first column has the heading LATEST NEWS The subheading in this column are blue and underlined, suggesting they are web links. Subheading - Submissions Open Body - Run submissions open on Oengus now until 24th July 2026. Accepting browser games & more! Image to the right - Oengus logo Subheading - Flash Forward 2026 Body - Flash Speedrun Marathon raising money for Internet Archive. 29th Aug. - 31st Aug. 2026 Image to the right - Flash Forward placeholder logo - an edited version of the Flash Player 8.0 logo with 2 Fs. The second column has the heading ACCEPTED GAMES Below the heading is a list of game types outline games that are accepted into the marathon. Each is on its own line and in blue and underlined, once again suggesting web links. It is reminiscent of a list of an old website sidebar with a list of categories. The list reads: Flash Games Flash Sequels Flash Rereleases Shockwave Games Java Games HTML5 Games Freeware Speedruns Races Co-op Showcases
