To expound off of this, if you cannot finish a commission, you must own up to it and refund the commissioner.
I know that people do commissions in the first place to get money, but you also can't just take the money and run if you just cannot finish it.

You NEED to keep in contact with your commissioners. That's right, all of them. If they paid you money, you MUST communicate with them and tell them what's going on. You cannot just ghost someone for months and months after promising a quick turnaround and expect them to be happy!
