Working for the Avalon Travel Advisory sounded like a desk job, but as it turns out the ATA wants reports based on practical first-hand experience.

Five panels depicting the five main characters of my webcomic, alongside the words making up the title 'I / Just Want / To Be / An / Office Worker' Qara, a Qhrysalid. Her species is incredibly long-lived, retreating into a cocoon-like state to rejuvinate when their bodies wear thin. They possess incredible psychic powers, and so Qara works for the mysterious Elevation Authority. Zylo (name likely to change) is a Ghellontein with a questionable understanding of other people's personal boundaries and little consideration for her own. She works for the Ghellontein Astronomical Catalogue, so her expertise is in planets and other celestial bodies. Silver is the de facto leader of the group. Although Qara has a higher C3 ranking, she cedes leadership to Silver anyway. She is an engineer, representing the Dolos Industrial Coalition. Silver is a Plasticon- a race of living plastic humanoids with modular bodies. You may wonder why she is named 'Silver' when her body is clearly yellow. She doesn't like to talk about it, but it may answer some of your questions if you saw that her ex husband Marigold has a silver body. Rosewood is an unusually expressive and upbeat example of a Biomist, she is very innocent and a total pushover and is very eager to please others. You may be unsurprised to learn she represents the Biomist Anti-Pathogen Foundation. She is very happy to meet you. Finally we have our main character Nyanna. She applied for a job at the Avalon Travel Advisory a few days ago, under the impression that writing reports for the Advisory would be a desk job. Unfortunately for her, they want the reports to be based on practical first-hand experience and a rather urgent turn of events has seen her shipped off immediately to the quiet homeworld of a new alien race called Zantids. I, for one, can't wait to see what she has to say about the planet! Nyanna, on the other hand, is none too pleased about the situation.

Technology with Silver: Faster-Than-Light Travel The yellow Plasticon Silver presents a lesson about technology in the universe. She begins; "And you're only giving me one page to explain this? Sure, make it easy why don't you? Okay so there are two core principles to FTL travel; One: Perception dictates reality. Two: All rules can be broken." "Every culture will attempt to create its own set of rules which the universe, allegedly, follows. These rule sets are rarely similar to one another, and often contradictory. Nevertheless, each rule set is internally sound and provably true." "The only commonality among the rule sets is the speed of light- the upper speed limit of causal reality. For reasons unclear, specific violations of any given set of laws of physics allow for a wide variety of Faster-Than-Light technologies." "No given set of laws of physics is ever totally complete, and the hunt for a complete understanding of our universe continues to this day. Every time a new FTL technology is developed, resignations within the field of unified physics skyrocket." The second panel displays five different methods of FTL travel found throughout the galaxy; Entanglement Calculators, the Keyhole Network, Digital Transmission, String Rider Grooves, and Ghost Drives. In the third and final panel, Silver has replaced one of her arms with a metal attachment with long wire fingers. The final panel also contains a small conversation between Nyanna and Silver, where Nyanna asks Silver "Care to explain how any of them work?" To which Silver replies "No."

A comic in which the Biomist Rosewood discusses alien disease. She is a reddish-pink cloud emanating from a pale pink humanoid husk, and she narrates the comic. Narration begins: Hello, everyone! Welcome to Microbiology with Rosewood! Today's Lesson: Condition WW-782 Plasticon Denaturing Disease PDD is a spontaneous breakdown of the macroplastic superstructures that make up Carbaboron life. It spreads only through bioidentical plastics, and only through direct physical contact. PDD can be difficult to detect early enough to treat, and is invariably fatal. Denaturing Plagues can be some of the worst out of any advanced civilisation in the galaxy. If you're not a plasticon, you can't catch it. If you are a plasticon, then uh don't catch it! Hope this helps! End narration. The middle portion of the comic displays three afflicted forms of PDD. A purple Three-Limbed Arbor Tree. A disembodied arm. And two humanoid Plasticons collapsed against one another. All of them are melting, unable to hold their forms.

Different breeds of an alien race of insects known as Zantids. The first is a Worker Zantid. Smaller than the rest, with a black exoskeleton. It has a triangular head with four beady eyes, two sharp antennae, and mandibles. Its body ends in six short legs, with a triangular abdomen. The second is a Soldier Zantid. Much bigger than the first and dark red in colouration; its antennae are much smaller but its mandibles are almost the size of the Worker's head. The final two are Honeypot Zantids. Brown and with a soft rounded body shape. It can consume huge quantities of honey and store them in its engorging abdomen; the fourth and final Zantid being a Honeypot with a full abdomen.

Plasticons are a race of living modular plastic components. As such, they are a very hardy species. It certainly helps Silver when she's doing engineering work.

In the foreground, her disembodied arms are autonomously working on the engine of a spacecraft together. Plasticons are a species of living plastic, made of 16 modular components. They can mix and match pieces with other Plasticons (and such is the direction that most intimate relations take for their kind) and even replace bits with tailor made artificial components. Silver's forearms are actually still attached to her, they're hanging off of her back. They've been substituted for engineering implements in her actual arms, which have a thin core of living plastic inside so that they can act in place of natural Plasticon pieces.
