The disconnect between the average cis centrist and what being trans is like is that if you're a trans woman, it's pretty much impossible to get hired by a normal job right now. Like if it's a bad economy for cis people, it's impossible for us so we're all in very precarious positions.

im glad people are saying it. im so tired of everyone and everything donating to some generic large nonprofit, meanwhile almost every trans person i know is struggling to make ends meet and no one - including these very nonprofits - will hire us.

“trans women are women” okay post receipts. donations, mutual aid, legal funds. prove it’s dispersed wealth and not hoarded. celebrities are fucking useless if all they will give is validation.
