It was BS for me. Partly because none of the collabs I had done were with other BS people. Also, I've potentially tainted my algorithm to be more politically driven than I initially wanted. I just need to spend more time here, build more specific viewing windows, and get away from Meta.

But we can't break away from it without completely jeopardizing our business or social standing, interactions, advertising, marketing, collaborations, or any other facet of our digital presence.
Managing multiple platforms is exhausting, so something always gets left behind.

My mental has definitely taken a hit because I do find myself doom scrolling there. And sometimes I do find worthy pages to follow, politically themed, and I have found new creatives to work alongside, it's still FB. And most of us all hate it too.

All of this to say, not being on FB makes it impossible to participate in the event. And once you're part of a model group or concept, you're kind of locked in until completion. But then you don't want to disappear afterwards, so you end up staying.

And that's where I've been the last 4 months.

But photographers are still locked into FB albums to scroll through and find concepts they'd like to produce. We can add a single collage image to advertise a concept we are after, as well as a collage of our work to advertise for us, as a photographer. Regardless, it's all built around FB albums.

However, the problem with Shutterfest is that is runs entirely on Facebook. The concept galleries, the class announcements, coordinating with models is almost exclusively through FB channels. They did setup a discord for models this year, which is a but more conversation+based for them.

I haven't seen weapons yet, but I wasn't a real fan of barbarian. You are so correct about Bill though. Lol
