Inside you there are two wolves.

They are causing major damage to your organs.
This is weirdly the draw for me. There’s no, like, vanity element to it (I don’t think) but loads of stuff I’d be really curious about.

Very rarely I’ll experience a piece of art in person that I love so much that it makes me genuinely giddy and energetic, even if the subject or the concept is heavy. Like it’s so good that my subconscious is just fucking delighted that it exists.

It’s definitely started to click for me now.

I hope that’s a decent first attempt. Definite tactical improvements to be made 😅

Agreed. It’s also very hard to do a bad cover. The bones of it are so perfect you have to be trying really hard to ruin it.

the kind of movement that could potentially be the seed of something important. Rolling around those ideas with a desire to achieve something pragmatic makes for a really thought-provoking subject, I enjoyed it a lot.

I loved this episode. I’m not a libertarian and I firmly believe that some version of a state has to exist, we’ve just neglected the work of creating and maintaining a just one. There are parts of his ideals and functions of his world government that resonate with me a lot and it feels like

Save your energy and your outrage for shit that actually matters instead of trying to crucify someone who has consistently been a force for good because you disagree on the ethical nuances of a police procedural. The left have become as dogmatic as the religious extremists they hate.

In the grand scheme of things, a TV show about cops trying not to be bastards is not really the primary factor in the prison-industrial complex. Are we claiming that the new season of Scrubs is comedy-washing the US healthcare system?

Reform is desirable but regardless of whether it happens or not, police are required for society to function. Any reform that you want to see can only be aided by having good people inside the system with a desire to change it.

I’m all for large scale reforms but, ironically, I’m also pragmatic about reality. Will crime be going on hiatus while you start from scratch? Can you find enough people who meet your ethical standards? Sam seemed like a good guy but then he did this cop thing so I guess he’s a monster now 🤷 Tricky.

You ever watch it?

Because every one of the protagonists in it is what you WOULD want a cop to be. If that show is recruiting people for the LAPD it’s doing so with positive role models, not appealing to the fascist tyrants I imagine you picture every cop being.

This thread was a weird way to find out about a Dropout x The Rookie crossover.

It’s cool, I like the Rookie and I find the performative outrage exhausting. Some folks are desperate to ruin anything good in the world.

I’m surprised that there are basically no comments on this post because that episode was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on Dropout and the bar is HIGH.

First full album I listened to after hearing No Children on an episode of Only Connect and googling opinions on the best place to jump in. One of my favourite albums of all time sooooo… yeah, solid advice Reddit.

Looking forward to next one 😁

My favourite thing about the shadow cult that rules the world is that they always leave visual clues on things. The Illuminati is basically just a big escape room.

For some reason they never sorted out the international rights to that “all-star” complete edition in the UK so I’ve never been able to listen to it 🫤

Mary Francis Roach just has the vibe of being the absolute coolest person. I’ve never met her and I want to be friends 😅

Even by your own high standards this episode was awesome.

To be fair, it’s a British bird, but blaming immigrants for everything is our national hobby.
