I love my favorite band. They're going on and on about a supposedly legendary concert they played in Manila (they're a German band), and I don't know if they're just jokingly exaggerating, or if they've never even been to Manila at all. 😄

I usually don't watch much ice skating but I got hooked during the Olympics. And it was so nice to see the finishing gala right now where everybody just had so much fun instead of being under immense pressure to compete. Can it be end of March, and the world championships, yet?

I've been struggling to find a description for my mood as of late. (I have also started this post five times.) I finally settled on: positive. Overwhelmingly positive, in fact. I completely underestimated the effect a new fandom would have on me. And I'm not even deeply in the fandom (yet??).

I played the lottery (with three other people) for the first time in my life, and we actually won something! Well, only about 10 € each, but still!

So my boss was laid off today, completely out of the blue. His "position was eliminated". Effective immediately; he's going into the office tomorrow to return his equipment. We were only told today - worse, *he* was only told today. I'm still in shock.

Oh great. The upper half of Germany is under a severe weather warning and my parents are travelling to Kiel by train right now to catch their cruise ship tomorrow. They were supposed to go tomorrow directly to the ship but changed it to today as it's supposed to be even worse tomorrow.

My dishwasher just kept on running after it was supposedly finished, didn't pump out the water and lets it just run through! (Or run over even.) 😩 I had to cut its water supply. And of course it didn't really clean the dishes.

I bought a CD as a Christmas present. Checked online that the store had it, then stopped by on my lunch break. It was 3 € more expensive than online! So I ordered it online for pickup at the same store and went back after work to collect it. 🤷♀️

I'm so glad that I went to the Grand Canyon last year. As impressive as it is, I would absolutely not pay 135 $ for it! That's complete nuts.
Not that I'm keen to go to the US anyway anytime soon.
