Making the meaningful art that enriches your lives requires the artist to be able to experience and indulge in life to extract its inspiration. Which they cannot do if they are working 4 jobs to make ends meet so that you can enjoy it for free. This is not hard.

Chrome is reaching into users' machines and writing a 4 GB on-device AI model file to disk without asking. It is the weights for Gemini Nano, Google's on-device LLM. Chrome did not ask. Chrome does not surface it. If the user deletes it, Chrome re-downloads it.

The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.
