Trump doesn't really have any major substantive differences with John Cornyn, he just really enjoys flaunting his political muscle in GOP Primaries. Also he seems to really appreciate that Ken Paxton has a highly questionable/dubious ethics record, and is aggressively unrepentant about it.

People mix up individualism w political liberty. China can allow individualism as long as it doesn't threaten CPC, but individualism is traditionally limited in China bcuz it simply causes more harm than collectivism to the society. Western obsession with individualism is stupid/backward & harmful.

There are liberal dissidents everywhere. But two issues with being a liberal dissident: first, the liberal dissident is focussed on narrow political liberties and ignore all other aspects of human freedoms including freedom from poverty, illiteracy, poor health and gender/social inequalities.
