Not to say that Bluesky is perfect, all social media is flawed, but it is interesting to me when the most people who i see claim the website is "dying" or will die soon are people who constantly engage in discourse

I have a lot of issues with Twitter and I do view Bluesky as the better website but I think anyone who acts like they're morally superior for leaving Twitter and using Bluesky are just silly some me lol.

I don't think I've ever implied that Twitter doesn't have issues lol, I've made several posts praising Bluesky as the preferred platform because I also hate what Elon has done to Twitter. My criticism is that claiming people who still use Twitter are aligning with nazis is absurd.

Bluesky is funny because a lot of people over here will call twitter the "nazi website" and then fully and unironically spend days making excuses for racism and anti blackness.

Some people seem genuinely incapable of calling out racism when it comes from someone who isn't a far right conservative.

I think what Bluesky users need to reckon with is that

Using Twitter may be a moral failing or whatever but using Bluesky doesn’t make you better than Twitter users. You still have to strive to not be a total dick. Feel like some people are a little too self satisfied with their boycott

Ah well. I'm fully aware that Bluesky itself has a lot of AI coding in it, but I think the moral thing to do is cut down on extraneous, pointless use of it as much as possible. Bluesky serves as a utility, while this stupid contest is completely useless, so it can easily be discarded.
