Agreed. I believe the DLC economy system we all love to hate prevented the base game price from following inflation throughout the 2010's.
On the other hand, it might be interesting to see how it compares with piracy rates.

yeah that's very well put. still frustrating (bc limited time on earth etc), but well said.
and yes, often the best solutions are simple, they just have some prerequisite unbeknownst to beginners

Imo the hard part is knowing how to setup an unperfect thing that won't give yourself suicidal ideas when trying to refactor it.
Sometimes the initial iteration is just not the correct solution and needs to beredone from scratc. that's kinda scary to me, because I know I won't have the motivation.

The glb/gltf default import options are also lacking a lot of stuff despite being the recommended format. I think that's the main stuff that bothers me.
If it was an obscure format, I think only having custom import scripts as workaround would be more acceptable.

I can't explain why they don't do that then (excluding soft where greed is the main reason for any choices).

Some soft are only based on user session for such settings which means you don't need multiple license to operate separately.
If the account is locked behind an email auth to download those preferences, then yes I agree. But then you have your answer on why they won't implement this kind of stuff.

As such I don't see the issue with this usecase of gen ai.
For music, art etc it's a whole other story.

It's like Oblivion never happened to them.
I could understand not developing advanced AI patterns for 2% of the player base, but out of all the solutions, making damage sponges is one of the worst.

Besides breaking a bone which will force you to prone to move, having low blood will affect your vision and speed, being cold will bring coughing or sneezing. You can contract a variety of diseases, some will make you throw up, other will give you tremors impacting aim etc...
