Before the 2026 crisis, about 23.2 million b/d of oil moved through the Strait of Malacca and 19.9 million b/d through Hormuz, each about a fifth of world demand. Suez, Bab el-Mandeb and the other chokepoints carried far less. #Oil #OOTT
