A later telescopic view of #Moon and #Venus near closest approach. At this scale the phase of Venus can be seen. 100 x 8 ms UV-CutOff in Celestron 8" + 0.33x reducer.
Mostly black image with Venus as a bright white spot in the upper left corner and approximately half of the lunar crescent filling the lower right quadrant along the diagonal (the camera is rotated to allow covering as much distance as possible). The left side of Venus appears visibly flattened from a circular shape due to 74% illuminated phase.
