Just listened, while having a wander around Skipton Woods. Absolutely brilliant, as always, but at the same time ghastly and grotesque!
The comment about Star Wars baddies being based on the Nazis is obvious, in retrospect. But comparing Miller to Palpatine doesn't set off the Godwin's Law sirens 😜

The BBC has an opportunity to say "you've heard all the breathless gossip - tune in at 6pm for the facts". To bring light rather than heat.

Just finished the latest episode of QR, and may I be the first to nominate Mr Andreou as the new BBC Head of News? Alex, your idea to have the corporation abandon its frantic and frazzling rolling 24hr news output in favour of a more poised and measured approach hits several nails on the head.

It's crazy what small factors history pivots on. Had a few more Republican senators developed a backbone - or had Mitch McConnell acted upon HIS OWN WORDS! - DJT would probably be in jail now, rather than the White House. I wonder what Stanley & Tominey think about that?
