If possible, plan each adventure with one "spotlight" moment planned for each player. Maybe it's a special challenge perfect for their talents, or a moment their background pops up to slap their face. Don't depend on dice rolls to do the work; build them opportunities to shine!

Question for my author friends:
Does "slow burn" always refer to romance, or can it also refer to plot pacing? I write stories with breathers to build character, explore threats within, & let readers really taste the world. "Slow burn" feels right to describe them, but I don't wanna mislead folks!

Had a much overdue feast of 'Spinning Silver', and just... happy sigh. I've put off my fantasy booklist for years, I think because fantasy opened me to too much wanting. But books are patient- this story waited for me, and was as rich and lovely as I'd ever hoped.

Had a much overdue feast of 'Spinning Silver', and just... happy sigh. I've put off my fantasy booklist for years, I think because fantasy opened me to too much wanting. But books are patient- this story waited for me, and was as rich and lovely as I'd ever hoped.
