I love Bel Canto so much. This song is so touching to me and evocative of a very specific time. It can't be recaptured, but this music's sound makes me feel like I'm back ever so briefly. A moment of warmth, mild adventure, and a pull to know more here and now. youtu.be/czdFiO_15_E?...

This screenshot from Mike Tomlin’s first episode of his Minecraft city walkthrough is killing me. This video has been such a treat. I never in a million years would have thought I’d be in this situation.

Now I am a mess of tears.
In 1946, Richard Feynman wrote a letter to his wife, who had died 16 months prior. It's a real testament to the power of love, and has me completely in tears re-reading it. Just beautiful.

Such a rotten feeling when you see someone with an excellent bumper sticker for a niche band that a ton of people have never heard of, you tell them it’s awesome and they turn out to be a complete asshole to the folks working at the place. Mannnnnnn…

I worked in one from 99-2001. I have encyclopedic knowledge of every movie that came out then. It is weirdly comprehensive and I know a lot about a lot of little things. This was for a local mom and pop style mini-chain.
Tell me about the video store of your past please
I have never felt older than the longing I just felt for weird little video stores because none of the films I want to watch are streaming in the US but I know I could've rented them on VHS if this was 1999!

Sexy Beast was a hellacious, wonderful movie and Kingsley is at his absolute best in it.
Counterpoint: Ben Kingsley's greatest performance is not Gandhi, it's his terrifying depiction of insane gangland enforcer Don Logan, in Sexy Beast.

Psicosis has always been my all time favorite luchador, this really is rad to see.

Today's music is from one of my all time favorites, Godflesh. A buddy of mine, when I was young, gave me the tape that he discovered during summer and I loved how cold and unfeeling, yet still raw, the whole thing felt. Incredible album from a band that means a lot to me. youtu.be/u5N9EYRkJoI?...

Today's music - Biohazard's State of the World Address is still a five star album and Tales From the Hard Side is so good. I remember when this album dropped and my whole friend group just absolutely loved it. Urban Discipline was a favorite but this is like the final form youtu.be/0nfoMPldPU4?...

I'll try to post more music. This past year or two, MVTANT has been one of my favorite emerging (but not really emerging, I was just slow to find them) artists. Love their work and strongly recommend this track for people who want to glare at others. mvtant.bandcamp.com/track/pretty...

Can’t believe Johnny Depp is playing Ebenezer Goode. Still, it’ll be interesting to see the character’s origin story, and find out how he got so naughty.
