The Super Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (SuperCDMS) experiment is installed and operated 2km underground at the SNOLAB facility in Sudbury Ontario in Canada, to detect dark matter particles through weak-scale interactions with cryogenic cooled detectors.
SuperCDMS is looking forward to contributing to this search, with data collection just getting underway at the SNOLAB laboratory.

This result reminds us that dark matter may be far more mysterious than our simplest theories assume, and that complementary searches with other detectors are indispensable for uncovering its true nature.
