I remember sitting on the front steps after the funeral home took my dad when he passed and listening to people laugh and talk up the road, seeing people moving in the window of the house across the street and just not understanding how the world was still going when my dad was gone.

I love having to DIY improvised fixes for medical equipment because a single replacement item is $75+
But according to the Canadian government I don’t need the extra money that being on disability would allow me to actually get much needed items despite being severely chronically ill and disabled

My dad and I had 10,743 days together, it’s been 1,067 days since I lost him. I miss him every single day.
There’s still days that I feel that urge to call him and tell him about things happening. Then I remember that he’s gone and I will never be able to do that again.
