Don't follow me unless you know me IRL or like to read original boring content every few months or so. I’m boring and 99% DON'T follow back. I will block if you even begin to seem suss or bot-ish.

The Internet was a beautiful thing for a while. It is now exclusively for people who are mentally ill. One might think that would make it a niche product, but it remains mainstream by making more and more people mentally ill.

Just one pic from the beginning of yesterday’s lovely event in Oakland. Didn’t get vid/audio of the moment on BART when the whole car joined in on a gentle, powerful rendition of “We Shall Overcome,” including we shall not be moved and we shall live in peace. It was beautiful.

Just read “A Paper Son” by Jason Buchholz - a page-turner magical realism story set in the SF Bay Area with ties to early 1900s China. Really enjoyed it. Turns out, his second novel is coming out this year, but not until October. Happy impatient.

Just pondering the things I may learn to live without. We still have eggs, and I just bought coffee. Hmmm....

Yesterday, I got my hair cut (Gentle Hair Cuts on University in Berkeley CA - highly recommend) and today I got Cinderella Bakery rye bread, great butter, and sour cream from EuroMix in Oakland (recommend Cinderella Bakery in SF and Euromix on Piedmont.) Homemade borsch for dinner. Happy camper!

Dickens Fair 2024:
Expensive but still a magical treat for the senses.
For those who partake, highly recommend the bangers and mash and lamb shank.
