Here’s the Autumn early evening, and drinking in the colour, foliage, the feelings and the big sky, as they will be changed to something different soon #oilonboard #art #landscape #blue #evocative #nature #painting #sky

Attempts at cross-less buns. Mum always made them - my turn now. You know, really yummy. Couldn’t bring myself to do the cross, but soft and warm anyway. Apparently also pagan in origin, where bread was marked to represent the four seasons or the moon. Relevant even for us heathens #breakbread #warm

PJ Harvey. A friend reminded me yesterday - of a good solid day together reading and me furiously rendering this grey lead… many moons ago. Dirty paper now. All young women then. Fascinated by her music early, had a feeling she would live a noteworthy life, and she has #drawing #art #portrait #music

Post boring appointment, what pleasurable aestheticism and indulgence to be up close and personal to the Streeton works and other Australian impressionists. Some BEAUTIFUL tonalist works and so many moonrisings. I had no idea. Brushstrokes, just so brave and purposeful #living #quality #transience

Why in the world take a terrible train window photo? Apparently it’s a stupid, weird world out there - global, local and personal unconscionable trouble and grief to process. But, you know - still beautiful out there, good people & things to notice & learn… songs to listen to #nature #train #travel

Lovely to be back in art class following what has been an emotional week with the devastating fires. Working away at ‘another’ road scene 🙄 Thinking of calling this ‘subsumed’ and whilst there’s plenty to ponder, I’m enjoying the feel of this one #painting #roadside #art #sun #light #lit #morning
