I sometimes revisit this post. I've never been more jealous of a characters aesthetic and design <3

All good, I figured this was super early days, and you haven't even gotten to doing visual flourishes like the smears of a weapon attacking and stuff.

Really love your robot designs though, if any world and setting has needed a game, its definitely the one you give glimpses of with your art.

I know this is a work in progress, but you may want to consider adding some kind of visual fx to the swing to emphasize the movement of the hammer when you do that.

Love the style though.

He didn't talk about Fuego or discuss the axe man logos deep significance. So, I dunno.

My first memory of recognizing him on screen in a villian role was in Legend when he showed up as the actual devil lol.

It was jarring for me since I only knew him from the more kid friendly stuff before that like home alone and Muppet Treasure Island.

the essence of this story is, I was preparing myself for savory nacho goodness and discovered that somehow entered "water isn't helping' territory because I didn't get the initial spice wave until 4-5 chips in.

I mean just look at this shit lol.

I think some of it, is some of the trans community is a touch narcissistic and imagines the experience as some unknowable alien thing and its really not. Being insecure in your skin is universal. Trans just tends to make it feel that much worse.

Its really rad though that the artist captures it.

I was friends with a guy named Tennessee, Its true, it really only works if they are a cool guy.

He was super chill, a huge sports fan, and despite being the extreme college football fan stereotype, he was the most reliable guy I knew.

I meant to reply to this ages ago. My biggest "trick" to searching like I used to is limiting the criteria to anything before the 2022 range.

Thankfully there are some curators like newretrowave that seem to only post real artists instead of ai slop.

Gosh you do inflated pool toy tf looking stuff so well. They have that perfect mix of being a happy toy and the pressure makes it look like they are likely squirming helplessly in their own thoughts.

Also the surreal 2d sprites that could be rotated with the 3d world map that you explored in gave it a very unique style. It really felt like a "modern" rpg, like going from what the snes era stuff could offer to that was wild.

Xenogears by far was the most bold and brave entry square ever had during the ps1 generation. The combat system alone was mind blowing as a kid, doing those combos in fight to get all the rad animations. And if that wasn't enough it had a entire other mech side combat to it as well.

The screens unfortunately are the first thing to start aging in all the old gameboys. The digital ink stuff they used at the time wasn't intended for a 30+ year lifetime. Thankfully there are third party replacements. The rest of the hardware itself is pretty robust though.

Great glamor job.

I saw a lallafel pair rocking a similar setup years ago and it was adorable as hell.

The real world doesn't have plot armor unfortunately. And rarely is as flashy to see the struggles of people trying to fix it.

Movies have resolutions happen within a 2 hour window, and it takes years for meaningful change sometimes. That slower pace feels hopeless to some from that expectation.

From my understanding theres a subset of japanese comedy that is that darker slant of "fun activity while someone drags you down with the real world"

This games soundtrack was criminally good. Like it ruined indie gaming for me a little bit. It took ages to kinda get back into that vibe of just expecting a certain median of quality in the scene.

I'm don't want to pretend to know whats causing it or anything like that, but it feels universal to just let your brain decompress even if there's nothing to be done about the situation that caused the spiral to begin with. Sometimes all we can do is just endure.
