It's so sad to see how much harm the actions of one realitivly insignificant person can cause so many. I hope this indie publisher doesn't suffer too much from this but damn do I respect the admirable decision.

I was watching west wing episodes and had to stop.

if I want to watch a show about altruistic people who work hard and sacrifice every fibre of their being to make their society and the world better, I'll watch Star Trek reruns.

There's only so much pure fantasy a guy can absorb without crying.

Today's jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.

What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.

When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.

Remember this.

Star Trek is now fully and completely owned by the dark side. It's like the worst Star Trek episode ever. This merger is going to allow for the MAGAfication of one of the only bright articulations of humanity's possible future. I feel just sick about it.

Please continue to support an amazing group of folks (including the incredible @pewpewbang.bsky.social crew) who were caught up in the crossfire of all this. They've done the right thing and one person's crimes shouldn't taint what such a great community has built.
Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

Disastrous decisions right off the bat. Fuck Skydance. Warner Bros. is cooking these days under these two, who genuinely like movies and love making them.

This is a great indicator that this merger is going to ruin EVERYTHING.

This sucks for many reasons. But I think it's worth emphasizing how selfish and duplicitous it is to go work with a public-facing, community-focused media org like MinnMax without disclosing this part of your past to them. (MinnMax confirmed to me they were not told.) Please support them if you can

if you are a dude and want to be an ally the answer is not in posting or spending money (though do that, sure) but in realizing how your presence can change the atmosphere of a room and that no one has any reason to know or care that you are “one of the good ones” and do what you can about that.
