Looking at the Cubs 2026 season as a complete picture, their downfall came from a lackluster pitching staff that suffered heavily from injuries and underperformance.
They accumulated 7.2 WAR as a staff, their leading WAR pitcher was Ben Brown, who got hurt before the All-Star break.
