I, too, thought we’d be fart, David.

I really thought we’d be fart.

The question here was something like “Which of these are possible warning signs that an inmate [their term] has experienced abuse?”

My coworker giddily took a pic of her laptop screen when she saw one of the potential responses.

Updated update: that was, indeed, the scene.

What’s interesting (“interesting”), too, is: right wing discourse and comment trolls are ALSO framing Hong’s restaurant as a “failed business” when it was open for 7+ years and survived the height of Covid.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics puts that ahead of the average.

Our dog is being a bit of a pill since oldest kid left for a summer roadtrip with friends a couple days ago (and the whole household dynamic is now—to the dog— inexplicably “weird”). But, gosh, she sure is cute.

Who all got the blue category first today? 😎

From an article about charges being dropped in Harvey Weinstein’s New York rape case.

If anyone is still operating under the delusion that the criminal legal system is, in any way, equipped to address and/or redress the impact of sexual violence on survivors and communities: [*gestures*]

It wasn’t paw prints!

The dogs licked peanut butter off the outside of a Ziploc bag, artfully (?) smearing blobs of paint on the canvas inside.

My 17-year-old has gone to a little, weeklong filmmaking camp the past five summers.

This year, she and her friend made a slasher short, set at prom. It’s nonstop incredible shots like this one, of which she said: “IDK. Someone accidentally stepped on the mirror and we didn’t have another one 🤷🏼‍♀️”

During all our summer tabling events, my agency (an anti-violence org) is informally collecting community input on what makes them feel safe to dispute the popular narrative that it’s policing and surveillance.

My coworkers are at Hmong Youth Day this evening, and one kid said “Cheeseburger” ! ❤️🙏🍔

The fact that HE keeps referring to HER as "politically naive" and then, oopsie

My 17-year-old is taking a US government class in high school.

They just watched a documentary about the failed Supreme Court nomination of Robert Bork as a catalyst for McConnell’s decades-long “revenge” plot.

1. No thank you.
2. How many people on that development team were like, “Yeah, name sounds great. No notes”?
