This is what happens when you effectively have a cartel of giant corporations controlling food production, a neoliberal regime in power that's focused on deregulating industry and dismantling the government, and our system is so corrupt that elected officials work for the rich.
Hundreds of people in 27 states have been sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to jalapeño peppers, including at Chipotle and Qdoba restaurants, the CDC said.
As of Tuesday, 345 cases had been reported with 36 people hospitalized.
