I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. Took 10 years but it won a total & complete victory through murder and atrocity.

Something remarkable is happening: James Talarico is running an expansively pro-immigrant campaign in Texas, a state Trump won by 14 points, speaking in Biblical terms about our duty to "the stranger."

And it's resonating. That's seismic. 1/

In Texas, Something Seismic Is Happening—and It’s All Trump’s Fault
Thanks to the economy and ICE, Trump has lost Texas Latinos. And James Talarico is developing a humane pro-immigrant message that’s resonating—even in this ultra-Trumpy state.

Tonight's @pbsnews.org story on Jack Smith's testimony highlights the massive FAILURE of the entire "mainstream" media model. In this case, they try SO hard to be "objective" & to present "both sides," they end up amplifying WILD lies by Rs & presenting this as the usual partisan back-&-forth. FAIL!
