I work in QA and today I got to interview a tester who had been laid off from a company that replaced one of their teams with AI. I really like them so to sweeten the pot I said "as long as I'm running this department no human will ever be replaced by ai". Occasionally my job feels good!

France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.

The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.
Why aren't we doing this?

I work in IT and we're doing a re-org and splitting into two teams. My coworkers are generating ai images for our new team names and now they think we should print tshirts...
