Sure, but in Kluwe's case, he not only made millions as a football player, but he's retired into a successful second career as a writer. He's doing just fine.

$400K per year is a fuck-ton of money to regular people. Seven years with the Vikings adds up to $2.8Million at that salary, all by the time he was barely over 30 years old.

Any post-1990 NFL player made more per year that I did in the last decade as a database developer. If he's not living a comfortable upper-middle class life, it would mean he BADLY mishandled his finances.

He's a wealthy man thanks to his football career. He would probably prefer that you keep your powder dry for when a less-wealthy activist is facing legal trouble.
