Siesta.
Oil on canvas. 2024. Molly Brocklehurst.
A painting of a beach where all the bathers have skin depicted in a shade of acid red. In the foreground, a person with this skin tone wears a light-colored shirt and dark trousers while resting on the green sand. In the center, two women with entirely red bodies and green swimsuits sit talking. In the background, other figures with the same red skin occupy lounge chairs facing a light-blue sea and mountains that repeat the same acid-red hue on the horizon.
